Description:

I picked up several saddles recently from someone cleaning out a barn. I'd like to find homes for them. Vintage (1960-1970ish) Black Parade Saddle is 15" seat and full QH bars (7 1/2" wide). The diamond studs on it, I think are tin or aluminum? I do not think they are real silver. Saddle does not have a name, but stamped 1500. It would make a good childs saddle or even for decor (bar stool? Wall hanging?). Nice solid wood tree and steel horn. I've conditioned and oiled it since buying, but, it's definitely been used! Weight is about 25lbs or so. Newer Western Saddle is in pretty good shape! It's 16" seat and full QH bars (7 1/2"). I think this one has a fiberglass tree - solid because it's very light weight for it's size. I'd say it weighs about 15 -20 lbs. One of the silver corner pieces is loose and I don't believe these are solid silver - could be silver plated though. The issue with this saddle is the fenders - if a longer legged individual were to use, you will need to replace the fenders/blevin buckles; if a shorter adult, just put new blevin buckles on it and it's good to go. One of the fenders, the leather was shortened where a blevin buckle was taken off. I found fenders with blevin buckles included on EBAY starting at $65 bucks for a pair. This would make a nice trail saddle. Western tooled saddle with white buckstiching is a 1970 Big Horn Grand King model. I found the original sales ad from Big Horn for this one and it was quite expensive in it's day. It's done in an antique Spanish finish. I would like $250 for it. This saddle is 16.5" in the seat with full QH bars (7 1/2"). It is missing one of the original tooled stirrups and will need new blevins buckles as well. It will also need to be refleeced. It shows some wear, but overall a good looking / condition for it's age. I was going to actually have this one redone due to the value and condition of it, but I don't have horses right now so it's sitting collecting dust. I have reconditioned the leather on all of these. Prices are firm - I won't respond to low ball offers. I would consider a trade for a nice antique/vintage dresser(s)/side tables of similar value. Don't email asking for a ton of pics - if you are interested - come look at them! Scammers will be reported.
