1975 CJ5 Jeep

1975 CJ5 Jeep for $5,999. Fiberglass tub, fenders, hood. Sits on 33" rubber. T-15 Borg-Warner trans. Three speed. Poly fuel tank with custom steel skid plate box to protect sides. Re-cored copper 3 core radiator in 2016. Has a commonly up swapped solid AMC 360 V8, considered as a smaller Big-Block. Replaced valve stems and rockers in 2015. The Oppenheimer intake was a classic premium. A cool throwback to the atomic age. Water pump replaced in 2017. The frame is a solid C frame with only minimal surface rust in locations where rust proofing wore off. Has a Sometime-ometer that works...sometimes. I will drive her on the highway at 70 mph with speedometer reading 60 mph....sometimes. The difference is due to tire size. The sometimes is due to .... sometimes speedometer. The odometer don't exist either. This vehicle has unknown mileage with no odometer. I had to enter a mileage per CL, so I aimed high. Rear axle gears rebuilt as limited slip with lifted suspension by Cascade 4x4 in 2016. Custom 6-point roll cage. Cool paint color, poor paint job prep as its peeling, but looks good at 40/40. You won't mind scratches while 2 trackin', muddin, or just going down the road. I've had my fun. My tasks are accumulating and it's time for another to have their fun. I've addressed the big items I was concerned with. Jeeps are built, not bought, as they say. You might want heat and wipers, but I didn't mind as I generally drove her in the summer in good weather though I recall a couple rainstorms that proved rain-x works too. The 1975 is the last year of pre-EPA emissions, so there's very minimal exhaust that's legal with a nice rumble that reminds us why we love the combustion engine. That's more than a Jeep thing.
