Antique platinum and diamond ring (Appraisal Value $25K)

RING DETAILS: Beautiful & delicate antique ring for sale, size 7.5. Antique center old European cut diamond set in platinum box with four three split claw prongs. Center diamond (chipped) has approx. weight of 1.85CT. The ring has bullet shaped sections at the shank each set with three round diamonds with a total approx. weight of .09CT. Center diamond has VS2 clarity and J color. HISTORY: This ring belonged to my grandmother and was gifted to me by my father. My grandmother was a medical illustrator responsible for documenting surgeries prior to the use of cameras in hospitals. My grandfather was a surgeon. They met when my grandmother was assigned to cover my grandfather's surgeries in the early 1950s. They married in the late 1950s. My grandfather purchased the ring for my grandmother as a 10th wedding anniversary. My grandmother was never a big fan of rings - she was often in her pottery studio or working outside. This beautiful ring has been in our family for sometime, but with the birth of my daughter my wife and I are hoping that we can sell the ring to someone who will appreciate its beauty and put the money towards childcare expenses!
