The base allows for easy leg room for everyone. Now the oval plate glass table top is exquisite. It is 1/2" thick with gorgeous and delicate beveled glass 1" around the entire circumference of the table (made by Glasswerks). The glass measures 80" by 40" at its widest part of the oval. The side chairs are a fantastic accent and are unique in their own design. They too are of natural beech wood and were special ordered for this table. Black fabric (with a subtle black on black look) 70%cotton/30%viscose. Stain resistant seats. You will note the backs of each chair provide a very open and airy look to the entire ensemble. They are as comfortable as they are elegant.
