Rare Vintage 1940s Heywood-Wakefield Rocking Lounge Chair

Rare Vintage 1940s Heywood-Wakefield Rocking Lounge Chair. Very nice mid-century modern rocking lounge chair in original condition. Maple wood construction with Amber finish. Chair has some scuffs and scratches from normal wear and tear around the edges from age. Seat cushion is tapered from front to back with metal slat and spring supports. Cover is torn and will need to be reupholstered or replaced. Slant back style with leather strap across the bottom. Chair may of had a back cushion as well, but is missing. Chair is solid with no cracks or broken parts. Rare style that stands flat and can also be used as a rocking chair. Includes original paper label from Heywood-Wakedfield San Franciso, Cal. Label information is difficult to read, but can make out some of the numbers and letters. Label Information: No. 2??26D Finish. Gr, 3 Upholstery. 6 - 25 Chair Dimensions: W - 30" (at armrests) D - 34" H - 36" (at top of back rest) Nice restoration project or can be used as is if desired.
