Signed at bottom left corner of base, as shown. 10 1/4" h. In very good vintage condition, with minimal signs of careful, respectful treatment, including a tiny, 1/8" indentation on top of the figure's head--as shown, greatly magnified for full disclosure--in the photo. The characteristic, lustrous metallic lacquer finish has acquired a rich, mellow patina through the decades. Cash only. Local pick-up at I-95, GA exit 7. Vintage carvings by the now deceased Juan Ramirez Sr. are rare to scarce in the marketplace. Please note that he and his vintage work are not to be confused with the currently prevalent work of his son, Juan Carlos Ramirez, who is presently carrying on the family tradition of fine carving in La Paz. The sensitivity to form and detail in this superb sculpture speaks for itself. This piece is from our large art collection, assembled over a more than 50-year time span. The collection consists of original paintings lithographs, photographs, drawings, etchings, and other types of prints, as well as some mixed media pieces, all of which we'll eventually be listing on Craigslist Marketplace.
