Description:

Straight from our family to your flower bed and garden. Hand crafted and packaged by local artisans. Sheep manure, unlike other animal manures, is a natural slow-release fertilizer (will not burn your plants). Nutrients in sheep manure fertilizer provide nourishment for a garden. It is high in both phosphorus and potassium, essential elements for optimal plant growth. These nutrients help plants to establish strong roots, defend against pests and grow into vibrant and productive plants. Sheep manure can also be used as organic mulch. Because of its low odor, sheep manure can easily be used to top dress garden beds. A garden bed that has a high level of organic matter drains well and has a high number of earthworms and soil microbial activity, all good for plants. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/composting/manures/composting-sheep-manure.htm Our sheep manure is harvested from the barn where the sheep are feed over the winter. The sheep are feed a diet of sheep pellets and alfalfa hay. The barn is lined with wheat straw each year for sheep bedding. Usually in the months of August and September (when it is dryer) we harvest the sheep manure using a rotor tiller to loosen it and then shoveled it into a repurpose plastic reinforced 50-pound feed bag. The feed bags are heavy plastic bags that once contained feed for the sheep and other animals on the farm. Our bags of manure are only harvested from the area where the sheep are fed and do their business. Bags of manure are sold by volume and not weight. The bags of manure will not weigh 50 pounds because the manure is packaged dry, but we pack as much manure into each as we can and still closed them for transportation. Larger volumes or self-service prices are negotiable. Can deliver within reason. Will be in the Springdale, Rogers, and Bentonville area some Friday afternoons and Monday mornings.
