Description:

Up for sale is my prized possession I bought this bike in 2010 and kept it in meticulous condition always garaged never ridden in the rain and only on weekends on Washington scenic roads I have never abused this bike and always gave it new parts it needed to run like new in 2017 it started running ruff my mechanic suggested carb cleaning I thought maybe electrical in 2019 at home during COVID I started to fix it which lead me so far into it before I new it I had bought and installed over 100 new parts my personal mechanic put in about 20hrs and I put in around the same after spending 2,000 in labor and around 2,000 in new parts it was time to fire it up during start up and getting it up to temperature it experienced a antifreeze leak from the front tube that is inserted into the front of the motor that sits behind the front radiator and exhaust pipes found out that 1 of the o-rings installed was wrong size so it split under heat so will have to remove radiator and exhaust to replace right part have replacement parts it will need new exhaust seals installed because once you remove exhaust new ones have to go back in around 60$ for 4 there is other parts that failed you never no until it reveals itself 1 float bowl seal didn't hold petcock seal leaks hydraulic clutch fluid seal leaking at the control side block I have replacement parts for everything so it is close to fully rebuilt there is 1 seal that I didn't service and if it leaks you have to pull the motor to get to it the transmission seal which I have purchased it sits behind the front sprocket because the cradle frame blocks the ability to get to it without engine removal so anymore time and money have gone to other things so it's time I give someone else a chance to get it to completion with all that said I also purchased a complete 88 ZX10 for a parts bike it hasn't run in over 20 years only 15,000 miles on the motor I have disassembled most of the bike almost everything has been cleaned and buffed they are bagged boxed for safe storage the tank has some rust I did a interior cleaning but needs more to make it usable I have installed most of the electrical from the 88 to the 90 that seems all good but bike was not able to run long enough to make confirmation that it's 100 percent so with all that said I am looking to sell the 88 and 90 as a package deal for 6,000$ if you have the knowledge and cash investment you could get a lot as these are considered collectors bikes because they are over 30 years old and hard to find in this condition I believe they qualify for collectors plates won't have to put new tags on it every year It also has a custom Corbin gunfiter seat and back rest value is around 700$ 1 stock seat included best contact is call or text 360-553-5278
