For Sale - 2001 Toyota 5FBCU15 Electric Forklift 2,600 lb. Max Weight Capacity (Range) 3-Stage Mast 189" Max Lift Height 82" Lowered Height 32" Forks Side Shift feature 36-Volt System It's Toyota quality. The tires are smooth type and I replaced them all. This forklift has been interesting. The main 36V batteries started leaking and failed. They are now forklift ballast weight. I added 3 HD batteries on the deck in an electrical series configuration to reach 36V. While I have the original HD Hawke 240V to 36V charger, I've never used it. I charge the 3 12V batteries with a 110V 36V battery charger/maintainer. This forklift should work well for light-duty warehouse work since suited my purposes just fine. Since the 3 12V replacement batteries may be 1/8 the capacity of the original batteries, its duty cycle is limited. The last I checked about 3 years ago, electric forklift replacement batteries are about $5,000. For my purposes, my alternative solution works well. If new mfg-type batteries are installed, then, largely, you have a new forklift that should work hard in a warehouse for 8-10 hours a day. The forklift's metered time says metered service is around 12,550 hours. Since this is an electric forklift, if you park it and leave the key in the 'On' position to go do something else, the metered time clock continues so the actual running metered time is a bit of a misnomer. The power steering does not work. I assume it has power steering. To turn, I just manhandle it. Just like a car without power steering, if you're moving the steering is not difficult. To fix the power steering, I'm guessing it's a simple electrical fix. The backup sounder works. The drive lights - I'll need to check. As I recall the horn works. I replaced the seat a few years ago so it's comfy and newish. I removed the seat belts (which is a safety no-no but I try to be safe.) I may still have them stored somewhere. I'll need to look for them. So, if you want a forklift for light-duty or occasional heavy-lifting work, this might be a good option. The forklift is close to Hwy 183N and N Burnet Road, NE quadrant. Please email or call for a showing appointment. It's priced to sell. I'll provide more photos when I return to my shop where it's garaged. Robert $4600 cash.
