Description:

SOLTON KETRON PROGRAMMER 24S ULTRA RARE VINTAGE SYNTHESIZER FULLY SERVICED IN AMAZING CONDITION! HAVE YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO BUY A PROGRAMMER 24S WITH PEACE OF MIND? WELL, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO MAKE THAT A REALITY!!! 😉 This MUSICIAN'S DREAM-GEAR is FULLY FUNCTIONAL, and I would say it is in EXCELLENT condition, especially for its age! However, and respectfully, since everyone has different standards, please don't take my word for it; I'll let the pictures do the talking. 🙂 I am sure that if you are looking at this item, you know everything about it. So, I will first tell you about this particular gem: IT HAS JUST BEEN FULLY SERVICED! The following services were just done, which cost me over $500! IF you find another one for less than what mine is selling for, and since most of the used ones out there, that are supposed to be "fully functional", turn out NOT to be; you will then need to find someone who would work on these (which is very rare nowadays), and then who knows how much it would cost to make it fully functional??! Especially since these synths are almost 40 years old, which means unless they had just been serviced, hardly any of them would be fully functional; and CONDITION IS EVERYTHING! SERVICES DONE: Full inspection Key-bed fully serviced Sliders serviced All buttons serviced All contacts cleaned Cleaned inside and out THIS IS A SUPER COLLECTIBLE SYNTH, that will only go up in value! Some say it is a cross between a Linn Drum, and a TR-909; I'd say with its delicious/warm sounds, it is BETTER THAN BOTH! 🙂 Words of a professional: "Built like a compact tank, this machine is a lockstep rhythm dream. With super tight timing, you can build an entire track from Italo rainbow waterfalls, to dank crusty acid jams. The drums go a long way to provide the sound of the unit, and they are so warm. These give you the heavy hitting LinnDrum Bass and Snare, the iconic Drumulator Cowbell, and the greatest clap of them all, the Sequential Tom clap." "The Italian company Ketron lab partened with German Solton to distribute their arrangers. I wasn't really into arrangers until I found the Programmer 24. I got so impressed with Programmer 24 that I ended up investigating (and buying) all the vintage arrangers from Solton. What is the difference between Programmer 24 and 24S? Well, there are several differences. Programmer 24S was made to the American market, so the input voltage is 110V. Programmer 24 is 220/240V. Programmer 24S has an extra PCM sound, Crash Cymbal. To achieve this, there are two extra EPROMs (IC10 and IC11) and a small PCB to accommodate these (PB181). All the PCM sound EPROMs were moved to this PCB. The RAM was increased from 2k bytes to 8k bytes. The cymbal potentiometer in Rhythm Volumes on Programmer 24, became Ride in 24S and Clave/Metronome became Crash-Clave/Metronome. In the Accomp. Volumes section, Synt 1-2 Brilliance became Synt Brilliance. In Pattern section, the LED Omni/Time has also No. of Bars on Programmer 24S. Finally, in the Sequencer section, Synt.1 becomes Synt and Synt.2 is now Clear. The button Clear on Programmer 24 is now Chords in 24S. You will also notice that the D2# key has a graphic for the Crash Cymbal in Programmer 24S." BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE VIDEO INCLUDED! It is soooooo warm and soft...heavenly... 😄 These are the notes for the video: "It could be described as early arranger workstation. On the surface, it's one of the many auto-accompaniment thingys for organ players. But it's stregnth lies in sound, and programmability - you can create up to 64 patterns, that consist of drums, bass and arpeggiator. Additionally, there is built-in string machine with triple-BBD chorus. Drums are 8-bit PCM with individual outputs. Bass, arpeggio and strings are based on M112 DCO, and the first two have SSM2044 filters. Bass has adjustable release time, and there are few presets, with different resonance and EG->filter amount. Arpeggio part has switchable waveform - square or staircase, and adjustable cutoff frequency. Strings have two parts available - cello and violin. There is also simple organ section (8' 4' 2'), that shares the chorus with strings. Sequencer has adjustable pattern length and resolution = up to 24ppq. By default it's set to 16 steps. Can be programmed in realtime or in step mode. Because of its sounds, it can be considered Italo-Disco-In-A-Box :-) And the drums sound amazing when layered with analogue drum machine, for extra noise :-) And that's what I did in the recording below. It was recorded live, what you see is what you hear ;-) Bass, PCM drums, strings and arpeggio are played by the Solton Ketron Programmer 24s. Additional drum track provided by Vermona DRM - it also serves as MIDI clock master. Leads played on DX7 and Poly61, and my B5 provides brass. B5 and Poly61 are run thru Behringer CC300 chorus (dimension C clone). There is also some reverb, delay and compression" READ ALL ABOUT THIS DEVICE BELOW! (under "some specs from the web") THIS WOULD MAKE AN AMAZING GIFT FOR ALL OCCASIONS, INCLUDING CHRISTMAS, BIRTHDAY, ANNIVERSARY... 😉 Please feel free to ask me any questions; I will try my best to find the answers for you. Also, let me know if you need any more pictures. Thank you, Kevin A VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2UQCSD_ObI&t=91s WHY BUY FROM ME? When you're buying a vintage (or just a used) car, does the condition matter? Of course it does! 😊 That is why when it comes to buying a used car, price is not everything... And buying a second hand synthesizer, is no different than purchasing a vintage or used car. Yes, I'm proud of my children for sure. Mainly because when it comes to used keyboards and synths (just like used cars), condition is EVERYTHING! I have searched hard, hand-picked and collected only the best of the best that are in pristine condition (majority of them); and then, had them professionally inspected, serviced/repaired (if needed), reprogrammed/restored (if needed), detailed... There's definitely value in that. On average, I spend about three hours on every single keyboard, before offering it for sale, and if they're not serviced, or if they don't pass the inspection, I don't sell them! I believe in selling ONLY quality items, to ensure that my clients are very happy with their purchase, which produces repeats, referrals and customers for life! 😁 With all other used gear from other sources, including the major retailers, you'd have to keep your fingers crossed until it arrives... And most often, they are not what they were described to be, and often enough turn into headaches or heartaches...but you can rest assured that, if you buy from me, you will get a fully functional gear, and you'll get to see tons of detailed pictures, before making up your mind! 🙂 No retailer would service them prior to the sale, as it costs an additional $350-$400! And that is what I do, as a labor of love! I do this because I really enjoy ANYTHING and EVERYTHING about synthesizers! Buying, selling, fixing, collecting, playing...I just love them! 😍 A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I am a 46-year-old, with a degree in electronic engineering, who LOVES Synthesizers, Music, and Electronics in general. Even though I do not work in the electronic field; I have always loved it, never separated; and as a hobby, I collect and fix them (if broken); and sometimes sell them to make room for others...
