Description:

Up for sale is for a Marshall Model 3315, which is a 150 watt solid state head from the late 80's, and was made in England. This particular one was made in 1988, as seen by the W on the serial number; they were only made for around 3 years, and are quite rare. These amps are full sized Marshall heads and sound similar to the JCM800 line, but with a little more gain. They sound great, very tube like, and very loud, not thin and harsh. These and the Mosfet amps from the 80's are becoming quite sought after these days, as they're cheap but give the full Marshall sound, with solid state reliability. They sound much better than the modern MG or similar amps. The head cab is the same as found on the JCM800s, ply and heavy duty. This amp works well and sounds great. It's 150 watts, has reverb and two footswitchable channels, series and parallel FX loops, with an FX mix dial on the front. Both channels have their own EQ and volume, as well as a master volume, presence etc controls. The amp has a built in spring reverb, which works well. The original footswitch is included. The amp has a pair of loudspeaker outputs, rated 150 Watts @ 4 ohms, 100 Watts @ 8 ohms, minimum 4 ohms. It can also be run at 16 ohms, as it’s solid state it doesn’t really matter, providing you don’t go lower than 4 ohms. This amp gets LOUD, like tube amp loud. The amp on 3 is enough to keep up with a band, so this thing has a ton of power behind it. There are small scrapes and tears in the tolex covering. The knobs and buttons all work as they should and the amp runs solidly with no issues. Below is a link to the Marshall forum that discusses the amp's rarity and sound. https://www.marshallforum.com/threads/the-elusive-3315-how-many-out-here-in-the-wild.124393/ I also have a Marshall 4 x 12 cabinet (VS412) that I am selling. Be happy to make a deal for both of them.
